Memorandum of Association of Sahara Foundation

1. Name of the Organization

The name of the organization shall be Sahara Foundation, hereinafter referred to as “the Organization.”

2. Registered Office

The registered office of the Organization shall be located at Wah Cantt, Punjab, Pakistan.
The office may be relocated as deemed necessary by the governing body.

3. Nature and Scope of the Organization

Sahara Foundation is a non-profit welfare institute dedicated to supporting talented but financially disadvantaged students, especially from remote and underserved regions of Pakistan.

The registered office of the Organization shall be located at Wah Cantt, Punjab, Pakistan.
The office may be relocated as deemed necessary by the governing body.

4.1 Educational Support

• To provide scholarships and financial aid to deserving students from low-income families.

• To offer interest-free loans for students pursuing higher education.

• To facilitate access to modern education, including technology and science.

4.2 Career Counseling & Awareness

• To educate and guide students on career paths and emerging fields.

• To raise awareness about the importance of higher education.

• To conduct workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs for students and parents.

4.3 Fundraising & Resource Mobilization

• To generate funds through donations, sponsorships, grants, and collaborations.

• To seek partnerships with government institutions, NGOs, and private organizations.

4.4 Expansion & Outreach

• To initiate activities in Wah Cantt, and gradually expand to Gilgit-Baltistan, other regions of Pakistan, and internationally.

• To develop online and offline platforms for student engagement and educational resources.

4.5 Broader Vision

While the current focus is on student-related programs, the Organization aims to expand its mission in the future to support all underprivileged individuals in need.

5. Organizational Structure

• Founder & CEO: Ahmed Mukhtar Shahi – Software Engineer & Social Worker

• Financial Caretaker: Sakhawat Hussain – Responsible for fund management

• Head of Fundraising: Muntazir Mehdi – Leads fundraising and resource mobilization

Additional members, committees, and volunteers may be appointed as necessary to support the Organization's goals.

6. Membership & Governance

• Membership is open to individuals and organizations who support the mission of the Organization.

• A Board of Directors shall oversee management and ensure transparency in financial and operational matters.

• Regular meetings shall be conducted to review progress and plan future initiatives.

2. Eng. Basharat Hussain – Director, NTDC Islamabad

3. Dr. Liaqat Shigri – Senior Medical Practitioner

4. Dr. Ejaz Shigri – Medical Specialist

8. Financial Management

• The Organization shall maintain transparent financial records.

• All funds shall be used exclusively for the stated objectives.

• An annual financial audit shall be conducted to ensure accountability.

9. Amendment of the Memorandum

Any amendments to this Memorandum must be proposed by the governing body and approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.

10. Dissolution Clause

In the event of dissolution, all remaining assets shall be donated to a similar non-profit organization focused on student welfare, as decided by the governing body.

11. Declaration

We, the undersigned, agree to form this Organization and abide by its objectives and regulations.
